What does it cost to study at Soroti School of Business?

It will cost less than you imagine to achieve your Diploma or Certificate at our institution.

Costs - Tuition and Exams

Registration is on-going and the next intake for Diploma and Certificate programmes is February 2026.

 

Diploma

Tuition for Diploma programmes is 530,000 Ush per semester. Your Diploma will take four semesters over two years. You pay exam fees to the Uganda Vocational and Technical Assessment Board (UVTAB) of around 100,000 Ush for each exam season and there are four sets of exams. You bring a ream of paper in Semester 1 and Semester 3.

At the end of Semester 3, you undertake an industrial placement and the fee for this is 100,000 Ush.

 

Certificate 

 

Tuition for Certificate programmes is 480,000 Ush per semester. Your Certificate will take four semesters over two years. 

You also pay exam fees to UVTAB of around 100,000 Ush for each exam season and there are four sets of exams. You bring a ream of paper in Semester 1 and Semester 3. Students pay a Centre Fee in each of their four semesters of 50,000 Ush.

At the end of Semester 4, you undertake an industrial placement and the fee for this is 100,000 Ush.

Functional Fee

Day scholars pay a Functional Fee of 160,000 Ush per semester, for services and development of the school. These services include free wi-fi internet and lunch on days they have lectures. Students staying in the hostels pay a Functional Fee of 100,000 Ush. The Functional Fee includes the Centre Fee for the administration of exams.

Accommodation and Meals 

We have an on-site girls hostel and an off-site boys hostel and hostel fees per semester are 360,000 Ush and this includes all meals.
